Today Bushenyi district has received coffee farm management implements from UCDA. According to the District Production Officer Tumuhimbise Gordon the supplied implements were coffee prunning saws ,bow saws and a chemical called IMIDACLOPRID that controls the Black coffee twig borer. The implements will be given to the coffee development advisors who are based in parishes through their Agriculture extension staff to demostrate to farmers how to use the chemical in the coffee plantations.The UCDA official Nobert Ahebwa said the coffee twig borer affects most Robusta coffee trees.
